Kurt Jon Russmann

Kurt Jon Russmann, Age 38, of Austin, Texas, born in Sac City, Iowa, suddenly passed away on August 11, 2013. Kurt was the beloved partner of Jennifer M. Jorgenson and "daddy" to their sweet Snorkie, Maggie. Cherished son of Clara Cartwright and stepson to Peter Cartwright; brother to Nick Russmann (Jon Marie) and Chris Russmann (Marcie), and numerous other relatives. Preceded in death by his father, Lonnie D. Russmann. Kurt was like a brother to so many and a special friend to many more.

Kurt graduated from Allen High School, Allen, Texas in 1993. He spent his junior year with the Rotary Exchange Program in Ichinoseki, Iwate, Japan. He graduated from the University of Texas, Austin, in 1997. Kurt has been an active member of Rotary International and was instrumental in chartering the Capitol Area Rotary Club. He was also a member of Austin Under 40, Texas Exes, Hills of Lakeway Club and was a charter member of the UT Club.

Kurt was a successful business owner in the financial services industry. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis and especially aviation. He was known for living life to the fullest and always putting others before himself.

Kurt has and will continue to touch the lives of so many people and will be dearly missed and cherished forever.

A Memorial Service will be held at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway, TX 78734 on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 3:00pm.
