Born in the state of Arkansas at the Army and Navy Hospital in Hot Springs National Park, Keran C. Stewart was the first child of the union between Deacon Joe David Stewart and Mrs. Rose James Stewart.
Keran professed hope in Christ for salvation in 1966 and was baptized while the family attended Bethel Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska.
As a child and teenager, she traveled extensively with her military family parents and lived in two foreign countries (Japan and Germany) and many different states. Keran attended Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska where she was a varsity tennis player and a varsity cheerleader.
After the family moved back to Texas, she graduated from Del Valley High School in Austin, Texas. Upon graduating high school, Keran attended Texas State University (TSU) at San Marcos. After attending TSU, she traveled with her parents to Spangdalem, Germany where she continued to excel and was recognized as Miss Spangdalem.
As an adult, Keran demonstrated her civic-minded personality as she served in communities of Little Rock, Arkansas and Fort Meyers, Florida. In addition, for many years, Keran had a successful career at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in Austin, TX where she retired in 2019.
