Kenneth Warren Frye, passed away at home unexpectedly on Dec. 7, 2018. He was 67.
Ken was a lifetime Austinite, graduating from Travis High School in ’69 and Southwest Texas State University in ’73. Ken’s passion extended beyond his family and friends. He was an avid traveler, baseball fan, and a dedicated grandfather. He served as an Elder at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church and in his younger days enjoyed coaching little league baseball in Oak Hill. He also supported and had a fondness for the Austin Humane Society in Austin.
Kenny is survived by Sue, his wife of 45 years and his daughter Jennifer Frye Cranfill, husband Cory, and son Douglas Frye. He adored his four grandchildren who kept him constantly entertained and made his life fuller than he ever imagined. His sister Iva Stanard and father Wayne Frye also survive him along with many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Ken loved life, understood it was a gift and appreciated every day. The family will be celebrating his Life in the New Year and wishing him the journey he so well deserved.
