Griffin and Gracie Tinney of Henly, Texas.
He passed away on October 22, 2014 in Garfield, Texas.
His brothers, Cecil Griffin, Leroy Griffin, Alton Griffin, and Jim Griffin
preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Renee Jones Griffin;
daughter Kendal Buccieri and her husband Bryan Buccieri;
granddaughters Darrah Ellis and Kensley Buccieri; brothers Dave Griffin
and Bob Griffin.
Ken was always hard working, kind and generous. He served in the
National Guard and retired from the Texas Comptroller office after a
30-year career. While still working for the Texas Comptroller, he started
a small pecan orchard with his father-in-law in Garfield, Texas. Ken enjoyed
hunting and he did numerous home improvement jobs throughout the years.
He loved his family deeply and gave them his all. Ken will be missed by
all who knew him.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o’clock
until six o’clock in the evening, on Sunday, the 26th of October
2014, at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home,
9700 Anderson Mill Rd., Austin, Texas. A Funeral Service will
be held on Monday, the 27th of October 2014 at same location
at two o’clock in the evening, with a graveside service at
Liberty Hill Cemetery to follow at four o’clock in the evening.
In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, the family suggests
donations be made to either his granddaughter’s 1st year college fund
or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
