
I have just heard and it has made me sad to learn of Kay's passing. It's odd as I have been thinking recently of trying to get in touch with her.
   Maurine and Willie were close friends of my 
parents, Bill and Valerie Williams, and for a while they lived next door to us on Ave F (we were at 3820).  We played together a LOT then and later, too. Kay and I attended Mrs. Scoffield's preschool and kindergarten and I have some really cute pictures of her then if you decide you want a copy.  The last time I saw Kay was about 1966 in Dallas, so was nice to see a photo of her now.  Still beautiful!!

I remember Kay and family from 66 years ago when we shared car pool rides to UJH and then a year later to O Henry.  Kay and Sue Hamlett struggled with their big hoop skirts to enter and exit all the different cars belonging to our parents.  Remember too, Mrs. Kocurek occasionally inspecting  report cards to see how we all were fairing.  Wonderful family!  Colleen and I last saw Kay in her Austin home prior to out 60th AHS reunion.  Kay was still the same sweet, bubbly girl that we loved, and now miss so dearly.



Sincere condolences to Kay's family.  Will miss the telephone conversations.  Kay was always very sweet and kind.

I send my condolences to Kay's Family and friends. She was such a kind and gentle person. It was always nice to see her at our AHS class of '58 reunion activities.



When my family moved to Austin, I wad 6 years old.  We lived on Beverly Road two doors from the Kocurek family.  Kay and I were friends from the first time we saw each other.  Our lives followed many parallels.  We were friends at Austin High School and were pledge sisters in Delta  Delta Delta.  I send my prayers and condolences to Kay's family.  I will miss her spirit, smile, and strength.



So sad to learn of Kay's passing. Kay was such a sweet and gentle person yet had the inner strength that is part of the Kocurek name. My condolences to the family.



Kay kept up with technology as best she could and did a fine job with it.  Only occasionally did she need my tech support. She grasped it like a natural.  She will be missed.



So very sad to see our AHS classmate Kay go.  She will be missed.



Our sympathy and prayers are offered to Kay's Family.  We always enjoyed our time visiting with Willie and Maurine.



We are so sorry to hear of Kay's passing.  She was a wonderful neighbor - so friendly and kind.  We shared many conversations about our beloved dogs.  She knew the names of all the dogs that walked by her house - always greeted us with a smile.  We will miss you Kay.



What a shock to read of Kay's passing.  She was always lively and fun and know she will be sorely missed by her family and friends.  Our deepest sympathy, Holly and Jonathan Decherd



Kay was such a sweet, gentle soul and always had a smile for everyone she spoke to.  I will miss seeing her at our classmates luncheons.  Rest in peace, my friend.



Kay was a dear friend to me and countless others......all through high school at AHS.   Later, in our many high school reunions, she was the kind, gracious person that I remembered.  My sincere condolences to all the family.  I will miss her sweet smile.



I was Kay's neighbor in Austin for many years.  She was the kindest most gentle person.  We had many laughs and afternoon talks and walks with our dogs over the years. She taught me everything I know about gardening.  She will always have a special place in my heart.  My heartfelt condolences.

Our paths intermingled from Bryker Woods Elementary through high school, with some brief overlap in Houston.  When I think of Kay, I will always remember a lovely, vivacious yet gentle person, with an engaging smile.  My condolences to her close friends and loved ones.



Kay is a dear friend from the Second Grade through AHS, UT and we had many good times at our class of 1958 events.    To her family and close friends please hold on to your memories and let them guide you during this time of sadness.
