Kathryn Ann Reilly (Tinka) McKay died Monday, October 8, 2012 in Austin, Texas. She was born in San Antonio and moved to Austin at an early age. She attended Stephen F. Austin High School and the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She married Jack Ayndon Clay McKay Jr. on September 28, 1948. Tinka was active in numerous activities, contributing to the Austin community her entire life. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed travelling.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years on December 20, 1999, and her parents James Aubrey Reilly and Florence Moynahan Reilly. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn (Kay) McKay of Waco, her son Jack Ayndon Clay (Mike) McKay III and wife, Regina of Austin, and her beloved pup of 13 years, Benji.
A rosary will be recited at St. Austin's Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Friday, October 12, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 3 p.m., Parking is available at the St. Austin's garage at San Antonio Street and MLK. Private interment will be held for the family following the Mass.
The family has designated Fuzzy Friends Rescue, a no kill rescue, at P.O. Box 20966, Waco, Texas 76702 for those wishing to make a charitable donation.
