Kathleen E. Ernst

Kathleen E. Ernst, known to her family and friends as Kathy, passed away on April 26, 2008. She was born on August 15, 1928 in Deerfield, Kansas to her parents Elmer and Harriet Eyman. Kathy is survived by her husband Norman of 59 years, three children, Cliff Ernst and wife Martha, Lee Ernst and wife Lisa of Kansas City, Missouri, and Cynthia Dremely and husband Mark of Fresno, Texas. She is also survived by her brother, Don Eyman and wife Joanne of Shawnee Mission, Kansas and five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Allison Ernst, Shelby and Brooks Dremely, and Rex Mitchell. Kathy will lie in state at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin during the evening of Monday, April 28th with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th at 11:00 am at the Bastrop United Methodist Church, Bastrop, Texas. A graveside service will follow at 4:00 pm in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a reception honoring Kathy following the graveside service at the home of Cliff and Martha Ernst in Austin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bastrop United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank our friends and neighbors for the many acts of kindness and sympathy extended to us during the illness and death of our beloved wife and mother.
