She was preceded in death by her husband, C T Stewart, Jr. and parents. She is survived by her loving daughter, Edith Ann Swartz. Other survivors include her brothers and sisters-in-law, Shirley Stewart, Alton and Shirley Stewart, Royce and Shirley Stewart, Kenneth and Velma Stewart, Faye and Barkley Edwards and Carroll and Carolyn Stewart and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Katherine worked for a number of years for Capital Printing and Lone Star Paper. She was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church where she volunteered many hours. She also did many hours of volunteer work for hospice.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be on Friday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
