Our precious sweet mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, Katherine Ray Holcomb, age 74, of Austin, Texas, went home to be with Jesus on February 24, 2018. She was born on November 12, 1943, to parents Alfred and Sarah Ray in Stamford, Texas.
Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, Billie G. Holcomb. She is survived by her sisters, Betsy Ray and Nancy Ray; children, Laura Fenton, Russ Pangborn and wife Carrie Pangborn; grandchildren, Jessica Fenton, Jamie Blevins and husband Chad, Sarah Compton and husband Joe, Abbie Fenton, Cooper Pangborn, Aiden Pangborn and Lila Pangborn, great-grandchildren, Zachary, Max, Zoe, Levi, Kylie and Brielle and a host of other loving family and friends.
Katherine attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Saturday, March 2, 2018, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park, with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Southwest Christian Church, with interment to immediately follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
