Julieta P. Garcia

Julieta was born in Nueva Rosita Coahuila on July 30th 1936 to the late Antonio Prado Rodriguez and Velia Ramos Sauceda and Arnulfo Prado and Consuelo Castillo. Julieta was married to Marco Antonio Garcia on January 6th 1960; they were married 57 years.

With the aid of her husband, she founded one of Austin's best Mexican Food Restaurants, Curra's Grill, 23 years ago

Julieta is survived by her spouse, Marco Antonio Garcia; her children: Marco Garcia, Jorge Garcia and Julieta Garcia-Prado Rodriguez; grandchildren: Courtney Garcia, Jessinea Garcia, Daylon Garcia and Alejandro Garcia; great-grandchildren: George Atkins. Daughter-in-law: Amy J Garcia; Mi Querido Yerno, Andres Rodriguez; and other family, friends and employees.

The family of Julieta P. Garcia wishes to thank her nurse Rene Flores and her doctor Pete Garcia for providing amazing care for their loved one and to family and friends for all the support and prayers during this difficult time. Also, to her caregivers Myra, Angela, Olga, Jenny, Sarita, and Lily.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, July 17, 2017 at San Jose Catholic Church.
