
Uncle Joe, There are so many things I remember about you, But, my most treasured memories is when we came to stay with you and Aunt Ruth in the summer, You always had a list of things we were going to do... Like the big Bar-B-Que out at the lake on the 4th of July, we had so much food and Fireworks... We spent the whole day there, I didn't want to leave when it was time to go back home and you told me, Sugg There's always next summer.... I miss you and I love you... I'm glad you're at peace, You deserve the Rest... I thank God for the day you came into our lives...  Love you always, Carol



My grandfather was a well known man. He put his family before himself, sacrificing things he wanted, but saw no need in order to fullfill the desires of his children and grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. He loved and cared for his wife, even though it caused him great pain both emotionally and physically. In his last few months on earth he grabbed the hearts of hundreds of complete strangers. His picture has been shared on over 800 profile walls on facebook. On the page 'love transfusion' alone his photo and story has over 1,300 likes. People from all over the country, and even people living outside the usa rallied together in the month of January to pour out their love and prayers for this man that none of them knew. They messaged, left comments, and even sent letters to the house to let him know that he is in their thoughts and prayers. Many said gracious thanks for his military service, others for his dediction to his family, and others for his struggles with cancer. Many said simply "praying for you papa jules"
People prayed all over the country, from Many, Louisiana; Rolla Missouri; Avoca New York; Warren Arkansas; Williamston West Virginia; and the list goes on and on.
Marla Wise Miller of Bremen, Indiana said "God bless you for your service to our country and may His hands of comfort, strength,peace and healing be upon you and your family."
Dee Dee Dauterive Brown of Houston, Tx said "Jules, May the Lord keep you in perfect peace. May your days be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. It's not over until God says it's over. From what I have read your heart is filled with love and this is the commandment that God says is most important of them all. May perpetual light shine upon you."
Even people in other countries joined in.
Joan Fennell had her church congragation lift his name up during service in Wales England.



Dad,  I can remember most of the times yyou had to come and get me or fix the car whenever it broke down, like the time we were on our way to a party over by Mike's dad's house and we smelled something burning and we didn't stop and we drove it to mike's dad's house and you came over and the engine was burned up....
Or the time we went to San Antonio for a basketball game and my friends wheel came off and you drove down late at night and we towed it to Uncle Mike's house...
Or how about the time I was racing a Porche on 35 going to San Antonio and blew my water pump in San Marcos...
Or how about the best one ever, I hit the pole with Brenda in the car in the HEB parking lot and then told you I had hit a tree. Then went and found a tree and drove the car up close and chipped the bark off and threw some in the grill of the car... That was so hard for me, to lie to you. I never was a good liar to you...

Dad, You were always there for me. Every time I broke down or needed a ride somewhere or even some money. You were and always will be my guidance in this world. I have and will try to live up to your standards. I always liked our talks, even when we argued...That's life and you are always my Dad... I miss you so much already... I love you... I'm glad your at peace though...



Uncle Junior, you were such a gentle, genuine, loving and FUNNY man. You always thought of others, before yourself. Doing for others brought you such joy.

You and I shared memories of when you, my dad, Aunt Delores, and Uncle Jim would get together, and the hilarious pranks you would play on each other. Those memories, and other stories we shared, made both of us laugh so hard. You captured many of those times, and others, on video and in pictures. You were so kind in making sure family members received copies of those videos. They will help keep the wonderful memory of you close to us, always.

You loved your cats so, and they, you. They knew it, felt it, and they will miss you.

You shared a "secret" plan with me to prank dad, one more time, hopefully on a return visit to Illinois this past summer. You were like a kid at Christmas, telling me about it. You had been compiling the plan for awhile, and got more excited each time you thought about it. As you refined the details, you enlisted mine, and my mom's help to make sure it went off without a hitch. You would have "got him", again, and he would have laughed so hard, and loved it! You could hear that laugh in your mind, and I know you've taken that joy with you.

Even though I will sorely miss our talks and laughter, I am happy you are at peace.

I will miss you, my "buddy"!
