Judie graduated from Bellaire High School in 1980.
She worked in several different industries but was very proud of her years spent working for the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch and Burlington Resources before she took her best full-time job as Super Mom to her son, Jagger James Nelson.
Judie is preceded in death by her father James May and uncle Joe Biggs.
She is survived by her son, Jagger James Nelson, mother, Carolyn May, sister Collette McMurtrey and family, brothers John May and family, and Michael May as well as her doggy children Patty Cake and Roxy.
Judie May was a force of nature to everyone that ever met her, filled every room she walked into, was an unforgettable and passionate friend as well as the best mom ever.
The family would like to thank her wonderful friends Katie Fitzpatrick, Kim Stuart, Jackie Disney and Simone Williams for all their love, friendship, and the care and compassion they showed our loved one during her final journey. Mom, Carolyn May, was simply the most incredible nurse and companion to Judie spending the last 11 months constantly at her side.
At Judie’s request, there will be no funeral. Family and friends are invited to attend a short graveside service at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, Texas on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to the pet rescue organization of your choice.
