Our Juanita was a woman of many names: Her family and Sisters called her Skip, Medicare called her Berta, her friends and her employers and her last job at the University of Texas called her Juanita or Nita.
Our son and daughter, Jay, Shana, and son-in-law Mike called her mom. Her grandchildren Chance, Grace, and Cooper called her Mimi.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce her passing on on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Mom was a typical Indiana German and was a pillar of strength and kindness. Juanita touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Juanita lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and unwavering love. She dedicated herself to building a loving home and fostering connections that will endure through the memories she leaves behind.
Juanita's was a cherished partner, a devoted mother, and a loyal friend. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and her legacy is woven into the tapestry of countless lives she influenced. As the beloved wife of Tary, she stood by his side through thick and thin, offering strength and solace with a love that transcends time.
In her various jobs and as an Elder serving Shepherd of The Hills Presbyterian Church she demonstrated the same dedication and resilience that characterized her personal life. Her unwavering support was a source of inspiration, and her sacrifices that did not go unnoticed.
Juanita is preceded in death by her brother Wally and sister Winona. She is survived by sisters, Myrtle, Arleen, Bev, Georgi, and Kathy.
A celebration of Juanita's life will be held on December 2, 2023 at 3 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 5226 W. William Cannon Dr., Austin, TX 78749. Friends and family are invited to join together to reminisce, share stories, and find solace in the collective memories we hold dear.
In lieu of flowers family request that donations be made to Silverado Hospice. Juanita will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May her soul find eternal peace, and may the memories we shared with her bring comfort in this time of profound grief.
Sincerely,
The Snyder family
