A native of Houston Texas, Juanita attended Incarnate Word Academy and was a charter member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic parish. A lifelong devout Catholic, she was a regular volunteer at her parish church and school. Always a sports fan, Juanita loved to recount her days at Houston Buffs games with her father Ned, and would spend many hours watching her beloved Houston Astros and Texas Longhorns. She was a regular attendee at literally hundreds of little league games of her children and grandchildren over many years. Juanita freely shared her great faith and love of God with her family and all she met.
Juanita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years Alfred, son Ronald and sisters, Marguerite, Martha Jo, and Julie. Juanita is survived by her brother Arthur Cain; her seven children and their loving spouses: Alfred Jr., David, John, Paul, James, Mary Alice Cook and Michael; and her 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the many staff at the Retirement and Nursing Center in Austin for the loving care they gave to Juanita during her stay there.
