Josie always treated me like a daughter, and I thought of her very much like a mother. I already miss her so much. I met Josie when I was a kid growing up in East side.  We were always around hanging out w/Ed.  Josie (& Dan) was always good to us even when we were around too much.  Later on I worked w/Josie for the State, and we were co-workers, and I always knew she was a good friend.  We'll miss Josie, and sometimes things can't be explained.  We just have accept God's will. I recently retired from DSHS, but was fortunate to have known and worked with Josie for the last 5 years of my career.  Josie was such a beautiful person, she was always so cheerful and I could always count on her when I needed something done right away.  I use to love to sit and visit with her because she would always make me laugh and I also enjoyed listening to her funny laugh, she would laugh and cover her mouth, like a child does when he is trying to be quiet.  She was one of the most caring person I have ever met, I remember she was always sharing her food and I would tell her, Josie you don't have to feed the entire office and she would tell me that she just wouldn't feel right if she only brought enough food for herself. She was always talking about her children and grandchildren, she loved them very much and would of given them the world if she could have.  I know that Josie touched many, many lives at DSHS.  I will dearly miss my sweet friend. Her family should feel very proud of having had such a wonderful mother/grandmother.
