Our mother, affectionally known as "Jocha", was very devoted to the Catholic faith. She believed in always helping others. She was an amazing cook who showed her love by bringing the family together for Sunday brunches and special dinner occasions. She always made sure that no one ever went hungry. She enjoyed gardening, keeping her home well-organized, spending time with her sisters and telling funny stories. She retired from Austin ISD, Crocket High School and El Jacalito Restaurant. She will be truly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Salome Ramirez; parents, Primitivo and Guadalupe Zamarron; her grandchildren, Michael Villela and David Ramirez; sisters, Socorro Rodriguez and Carmen Garcia; brothers, Pablo, Jose, Luis, Antonio and Angel Zamarron.
She is survived by her sisters, Guadalupe Velasquez, Ofelia Maldonado, and Maria del Refugio Rocha; sons, Aurelio Ramirez (Gloria), Amador Ramirez (Rachel), Patrick Ramirez (Jeanne), and Carlos Ramirez (Dora), daughters; Ofelia Villela (Arthur), Guadalupe Lopez (Frank), and Yvonne Ortegon (Rudy); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
