Johnnie Mae Easley was born to Ira Routt Sr. (Daddy Routt) and Beatrice Mae Joyner Routt (Mother Routt) on September 27, 1928 in rural Travis County, Texas.
Johnnie Mae professed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Gildon Creek First Baptist Church in Manor, TX. At the time of her death she was under the leadership of Pastor Lester Patton and his wife, Rev. Patricia Patton at Black’s Memorial Baptist Church in the St. Johns community where she and her husband Gilbert Easley Sr. lived for over 65 years.
On September 13, 1948 she married Gilbert Easley Sr. and to this union they had five children.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ira Routt Sr. and Beatrice Joyner Routt, her beloved husband Gilbert Easley Sr., infant daughter Paula Annette Easley along with two brothers and two sisters.
She leaves to morn her departure her children; Gilbert Easley Jr. and wife Sharon of Austin, Shirley Ann Easley of Houston, TX, Robert Eugene Easley of Austin, TX, and Michael Darryl Easley and wife Andrea of Temple, TX, five grandsons; Charles Davenport and wife Shonda, Quincy Walker and wife Sarah, Dewarn Easley, Gilbert Easley III and wife Aleyda, and Andre Easley. One granddaughter Dionne M Easley. Great Grandchildren; Nia Anderson, Jonathan Walker, Bria Jones and Brookelyn Jones, Eli Easley and Seth Easley. Brothers; Willie B Routt Sr. and wife Emma, Robert Routt and one sister; Mary Sue Routt.
