John Anthony Yocum, age 55 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 16, 2012.
John was born on June 8, 1957 in Austin, Texas. He is survived by a son, Mathew Edward Yocum; ex-wife Carmen Schaefer; two brothers; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Emma Yocum.
Mr. Yocum was employed with the City of Austin for 23 years upon retiring. He then was employed with Meals on Wheels.
Friends and acquaintances are invited to visit with the family 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with Reverend James Palmer of Pasadena, Texas officiating. Graveside Service and Committal will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
