John W. Reynolds of Austin Texas passed away gently on November 11, 2011, at age 84. He left behind a legacy of service to his church, his city, and his family. He was born June 17th in 1927 to Willie Taylor Reynolds and Lethia Irene Thompson in Gerald, Texas.
From humble beginnings in a central Texas sharecropping community, John became a respected Austin businessman and a servant to many groups and organizations. His strong faith and work ethic are remembered by all who loved him.
He was preceeded in death by Billie Love, his wife of 45 years and by his second wife, Trudy. He is survived by sons, Rick, Jay and Robert, their wives, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held Sunday evening, November 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning, November 14th, at 10:30 a.m., at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery in Round Rock, TX.
