John Michael (“Jack”) Miesch, 62, of Austin, passed away November 29, 2019. He was born in Austin, TX on July 3, 1957. He graduated from Kinkaid High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Texas A&M University.
Jack spent his early years working on family ranches and went on to own a millwork business for many years. More recently, he worked in trading and investing.
Jack was a man of many passions. He loved reading, art, sailing, fishing, the outdoors, and the wonders of nature. He was a lifelong athlete and enjoyed soccer, tennis, and snow skiing. Many will miss his kind heart and playful sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his son, Andrew Miesch; father, Jack Miesch; mother, G.G. Shouse; and stepfather, E.E. Shouse.
He is survived by his daughters, Kaitlin and Mackenzie Miesch; siblings, Molly M. Walker, Laurie Miesch, Lacey Miesch, Janie Robertson, and Michael Miesch; and step-siblings, Earl B. Shouse, August Shouse, and Polly Shouse.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks.
