John was born in Warren, Ohio on May 15, 1945. He graduated from Grand Valley High School in 1963. He worked as carpenter creating homes that were works of art.
John enjoyed wood working, fishing, restoring cars, telling jokes, making people smile, and spending time with family and friends.
John is predeceased by his mother, Dorothy, and father, John, Sr.
John is survived by his wife, Doris; his children, Bridget Brown of Washington, Becky and husband, Andy Hamill of Colorado, James Brown of Texas, David Brown and wife, Kim of Texas, and Daniel Brown, Trina and sons of Texas; his grandchildren, Ryan, Chase, Nicholas, Corey, Isabelle, and Reed; mother of three of his children, Molly Brown; her parents, Ermil and Helen Reed; and many friends.
A service of remembrance will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in the Chapel of Cook Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Pastor Magdalene Holm-Roesler to officiate.
