Jennifer Elaine Broussard

Jennifer Elaine Broussard, 38, of Austin, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016. She was born on September 4, 1977, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Ronnie Thomas Simien and Jacqueline Rose LeFrere Simien.

She was predeceased by her brother, Bradley James Simien and her grandparents, Percy Paul LeFrere and Anthony and Edmonia Simien. Jennifer will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Bryan Paul Broussard; beloved daughter, Mia Julie Broussard; parents, Ronnie and Jacqueline Simien; grandmother, Annabelle LeFrere; parents-in-law, Carl and Julie Broussard; siblings-in-law, Katrina and Jason Freeman, Laura and John Rosen, Ann and Ryan Oberg, John and Sarah Broussard, Brandon and Laura Broussard, and Rose Broussard, as well as 14 nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Finally, she leaves behind a large and beautiful network of loyal and supportive friends both in Austin where she lived for the last 16 years and in Lake Charles, Louisiana where she grew up.

Her smile was spectacular and her joyous, generous spirit and warm, loving nature endeared her to all of us.

A Celebration of Jennifer’s Life will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 P.M. at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 3939 Lake St. Interment will be at Consolata Cemetery near her brother Bradley.
