Jeannie, as she preferred to be called, was born on March 25, 1929, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Henry and Thelma (Shaw) Sinclair. Her four siblings, Shirley Buck, Robert Sinclair, Richard Sinclair, and Donald Sinclair, all preceded her in death. She graduated from Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1947.
Jean served in the Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas in 1951.
On February 24, 1962, she married Harvey Edward Neece. Sadly, eight months later, Harvey died from cancer on November 12, 1962, at the age of 48. They were living in Westminster, California at the time of his death. Jean’s heart never quite recovered, and she never remarried.
Jeannie’s hobbies were fishing, going to her cabin at Flamingo Lakes, doing crossword puzzles, and working in the yard. She was the salt of the earth, lived her life to the fullest, and she and her card games will surely be missed.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cookwaldenfuneralhome.com for the Neece family.
