Jayne is survived by her son, Thomas L. Fischer; grandchildren, Ada Fischer Drozd and Tomar Fischer; great-grandchildren, Deanna and Evan Drozd; as well as her brother, Jack Connelly.
She is preceded in death by her husband of more than 65 years, Charles L. Fischer Jr.; brothers, William Connelly and Patrick Connelly; and her parents, Oliver and Lola Connelly.
Jayne was born on June 9 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She married Charles L. Fischer Jr., on December 24, 1944. After moving to Austin, Texas, Jayne began working for Texas Association of Realtors in the accounting department, where she remained for her nearly 30-year career. She was also deeply involved in her church and in caring for her family.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 am on June 8, 2018, at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jayne's life.
