Jay Lynn Johnson III, fondly known as “Happy”, journeyed to the great fishing lake in Heaven. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at his residence in Austin. Jay was a native Austinite graduating from Reagan High School then entered the construction business. He had a larger-than-life personality and his generosity knew no bounds. He loved Texas and his second home in Florida. Jay loved his family and his many friends and enjoyed traveling.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jay Lynn Johnson, Jr. Jay is survived by his mother and stepfather, Karen and Joe Baker; grandmother, Dorothy Wimberley Kerbow; siblings, Julie Johnson and fiancé, Todd Collins, Jan Johnson and fiancé, James Riley, Jim Johnson, and Brad Baker and wife, Gina; niece and nephew, Stella and Rilo Baker; aunt and uncle, Mirella and David Kerbow; aunt, Virginia Kerbow-Moore; dear friend, Jackie Peña; numerous cousins; and a
host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 11, 2011 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
