Jason Alan Langston of Austin, Texas left this world far too soon on June 16th, 2023, at the age of 38. He was born on August 1st, 1984 in Austin, Texas and was proud to be a lifelong Austinite.
Jason was a loving son, brother (or “Brosive”), uncle, nephew, companion, and friend to all. Jason was someone full of life and laughter who loved his family and friends dearly.
Jason was known for his huge heart, gift for growing all things beautiful, talent for turning trash to treasures, and his inquisitive mind. He loved fishing and was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. Above all things he loved spending time with family and any type of gathering. He’d stand beside his Dad for hours cooking for various birthday parties, family events, or “just because” invites. If you needed Jason for anything, he was always willing to help.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Charlsie Langston, and Jesus and Eloisa Monreal, along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, and beloved dogs Cheyenne and Giselle.
Left to love and remember Jason are his parents, Dwayne and Maria Langston; sisters Tina Langston and Amy Ibarra; brother-in-law, JJ Ibarra; nieces, Alyssa Ibarra, Alexis Simon, and Julia Ibarra; great nephew, Elias Perez, and his long-time love, Teresa Fitzgerald.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home in Austin, Texas. The funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home. A catered reception will follow.
The family would like to thank Lisa Hagood and Johnathan Davis from New Century Hospice as well as all the ICU nurses/doctors at St. David's North Austin Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed Jason during his final days.
