Janice June Smith (80) of Lakeway, Texas left a great void in this world when she passed away on March 8, 2005, after almost 60 years of marriage, and devotion to her husband, Col. Larkin B. Smith, Jr. You might think 60 years was a long time, but it was not long enough. Jan, you constantly provided encouragement, total love, and security through all the years of my toil. I miss you, Jan I will never again have the peace of mind you provided me. We spent many days in places that were not beautiful, but we always said that it did not make a difference where we were, if we could just be together. Love you, my darling, and I will have peace when the Lord takes me to you. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Vista Oaks for there continued help and support to Jan. A memorial services will be held at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Richard McCabe officiating.
