Jane M. Griffin Rabb

Jane loved her family fiercely and fought courageously to protect them. She was affectionately known as “Mom” and “Grandma” by many. She loved life and family. Her treasures were her family. We have all lost a big part of our lives with Jane’s passing. We will miss her sweet presence always. We feel her with us in our hearts and we anticipate the joy of that reunion when we join her again forever.

Jane was preceded in death by her father, James Denson Griffin; sister, Margie Griffin; her precious children, Jonathan, Kenneth Wayne, Cecilia, and Theresa; and her sweet grandson, Geoffrey Wagnor.

Jane is survived by her husband of 53 years, Isaac “Ike” Rabb; son, Geoffrey Rabb; daughters, Ann Marie Wagnor-White and husband, Eddie, Denise Rabb Ormand and husband, Rob, and Reneé Rabb; her adored grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin Simerka, Jay Simerka, Janeé Ormand, Johnny Ormand, Robby Ormand, Courtney Rabb, Kelsey Rabb, and Shelby Rabb; great-grandchildren, Amber Simerka, Matthew Simerka, and Chase Jon-Isaac Simerka; her mother, Margaret Bayless Griffin; and her sister, Ellen Smith.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
