
James E. (Jim) Wright, 60, of Buda, passed away on July 1, 2005. He was born in Kansas City, MO, on August 29, 1944, but became a Texan six months later when he and his family moved to Atlanta, TX. His parents, Roy & Doris Wright preceded him in death. Jim leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 33 years, Rita Johnson Wright; his sister, Lynn Mays, Nashville; mother-in-law, Christine Johnson, New Boston, TX; sister-in-law, Sue Evans and husband Dan, of Nixa, MO; brother-in-law, Ron Johnson, New Boston; two nephews, three nieces, and two great nephews. The Wright family whom he loved dearly also survives him. James and Rita met in 1962 at TJC, and, even though Jim went to The University of Texas at Austin and Rita went to East Texas State University, they were reunited when Jim moved to Dallas in 1969. The family wants to thank the team of doctors and nurses at South Austin Hospital who tried so hard to make Jim well again, and special thanks to Dr. Lawrence Hauser, Dr. Allen Sonstein, and Linda Hargrove. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on July 4, 2005, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Ave. Services will be at 2 pm on July 5, 2005, at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church, 40th and Avenue B.
