James was a goodhearted person who loved music, playing his guitar, motorcycles and working on cars. He will be remembered for his loving and forgiving personality, and for always doing his best to help those in need. He enjoyed spending time playing music with his friends.
He is survived by his parents, Vernie and Tillie Ward of Austin; sister, Judy and husband Gary Smith of Austin; niece, Rachael Smith of Austin; nephew, Justin and Karissa Smith of Mesquite; cousins, Carol Taylor, Don and wife Mandy Lancaster, and Elizabeth and husband Matt Hanley; and aunts, Marcia and husband Wayne Jameson and Betty and husband Edd Davis. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ, 11908 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
