James William Parker

"James William “Jimmie” Parker, age 86, passed away at his home Saturday morning September 24, 2016. Jimmie was born in Austin, Texas on October 24, 1929 to Harvey and Dora Parker. Jimmie attended Ridge Top Elementary, University Junior High, and Austin High.

After serving in the U.S. Navy he met and married the love of his life Doris Mae McAnally on August 12, 1950. He worked and retired from Cook Paint Company before going into the paint contracting business for himself for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being with family and friends. He also enjoyed his many travel adventures around Texas and other states with Doris and family.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Doris Mae and sons William Lee “Bill” and wife Regina, and James Robert “Bobby” and fiancé Gloria Markham. He will be remembered by many for his great stories, memories, and jokes and missed by all that loved and knew him."
