Jim graduated from Milby High School in Houston and Texas A&M University, Class of ‘63
Jim served in the military from 1964 until 1975. In 1980 he began working for the University of Texas where he remained until his retirement in 2010.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Carl Murray, his sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Larry Marsh, his uncle George Murray and his great-niece, Alyssa Marsh.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Alice Murray, sons Chet Kelley (Kathrin), Sean Kelley (Karen), Jim Kelley, and Charles Kelley (Angelica). Seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. David's Hospital South for their compassionate care.
