James Ronald Melton, age 74, passed away on April 22, 2022, at his home due to complications from diabetes. Ron was born on February 25, 1948, in Houston, Texas, and is predeceased by his mother, Vivian Mae Elliott, his father, George Franklin Melton, and his brother Melvin Donald Melton. Ron married Liz Smith in 1976, and Vicki Hickerson in 1999.
A cremation visitation will be held on May 25, 2022, at Weed Corley Fish funeral home at 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, Texas, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. (www.wcfishnorth.com).
Graveside services will be held on June 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas, where Ron will be buried next to his parents and brother.
