Jack Rutledge, 94, of Austin, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008. He was born June 24, 1914 in Sour Lake, Texas. Jack attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He served his country in the Army Air Corps, and was one of the last Commanders of the 98th Bombardment Group in World War II. He was the owner and founder of Jack's Party Pictures. He also worked at Miller Blueprint before retiring. He was a life-long member of Kiwanis. He was assistant scout master for Boy Scout troop 399. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Hudson Rutledge. He is survived by his sons Keith Rutledge and his wife Cheryl of Austin; Ray and his wife Jean of Round Rock; daughter Lark Steele and her husband Gris of Richmond; five grandsons and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the same location. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
