Jack Parker Chance

Jack was born on January 23, 1920 to John Parker and Lillian Mattson Chance in Austin, Texas. In 1940, Jack married the love of his live, Eledia Krueger. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Jack and Eledia retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1987 and they moved to Serbin, Texas to be close to their ranch in Smithville. Jack was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. He will always be remembered as a hard working industrious man, a faithful Christian and a good family man.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 65 years Eledia, his sister Lillian Kaplan and his son Robert Allan Chance. He is survived by son Rick Chance; and his grandson Collin, his wife, Esther and four great granddaughters: Devin, Hayley, Hayden and Piper.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in the chapel of Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N Lamar with a reception to follow immediately thereafter. Interment will be at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas at 2:00 p.m.
