Passed peacefully on July 15, 2018. Ida was born to Otto and Viola Pfeil on November 3, 1928 in Manor, Texas.
She was confirmed in Christ December 30, 1942 at St Johns Evangelical Church, Burton Texas. Her Confirmation Bible Verse was John 17:3 “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.”
Ida married Clarence Gilbert Anderson on June 12, 1946. She was a long time resident of Austin and member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She worked for AISD for many years as a cook.
Ida loved God, family, country music, dancing and playing dominoes. She had a passion for cooking and trying new recipes, many of her family favorites have been passed onto future generations including her famous Swedish Rye Bread. Ida won a baking contest in the late 1970's for her Wheat Germ Cake. The kitchen was truly the heart of her home.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents; Otto and Viola Pfeil, husband Gilbert Anderson and daughter Nora Whitted.
She is survived by sons; Ken Anderson and wife Leesa, Mike Anderson and wife Cathy, Douglas Anderson, daughter Kathy Prellop and husband Leonard, and son-in-law Mike Whitted. Ida was blessed with 13 Grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters; Ruby Lee Schoen, Doris Reinhardt, Gloria Kuempel, brother Stanley Pfeil and wife Judy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
