Howard S Martin was born in Prineville, Oregon, February 3, 1938 to Violet (Worm) and James Martin. He joined the military and fought in the Vietnam war. He served his country in both the U.S. Marines and Air Force. While he was stationed in South Korea, he met Sun Cha Kim. They were soon married and had a son, Jacob. After the war, Howard moved his family to Texas. Howard returned to school and earned his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. Howard went on to become a professor at ITT Technical Institute. During his tenure there won many awards for best professor and was adored by his students. Howard was an active member of the community through the Austin-Eastview Church of God. He helped maintain church records, take care of the property, and volunteered to teach Sunday school. One of Howard’s lifelong passions was bowling. He was an avid bowler and was often found out on the lanes. May he bowl perfect games with our Lord. Howard’s boundless generosity made him a father figure to many and a friend to all. He will be sincerely missed, but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Sun, brother Julius, sister Esther, son Jacob, daughter Sonja, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
