Herman Albert Polk

Herman Albert Polk, known as H.A., was born on June 16th, 1934 in Austin, Texas to Dorothy Frieda Mueller and Herman Nelson Polk. He passed away July 10, 2004 in his home. H.A. was married to Shirley Dudley on December 31, 1953, and had three children. The family lived in Buda until 1982 when they moved to Elgin, Texas, where he and his wife retired. H.A. was in the meat industry and owned his own company in Taylor, Texas. Beyond work, he had a passion for horses and could often be found at the race track. H.A. is survived by his wife of 50 years Shirley ; three children, Belva Green, husband Horace Green, Putt O’Brien, husband Andrew O’Brien and Clifford Polk; grandchildren, Colby Green, Chelsea Green, Drew O’Brien and Wesley O’Brien. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 13th at Wilke-Clay-Fish between 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday the 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilke-Clay-Fish with graveside service immediately following at Live-Oak Cemetery in Manchaca Texas.
