Harvey Dale Bloom

Harvey Dale Bloom peacefully departed this life on June 18, 2011. He was born July 4, 1949 in Austin, Texas to H. Cornelius and Mildred Carlson Bloom. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grandparents Emme Lee and Edward Theobald.

Harvey was a lifetime member of The First Evangelical Free Church of Austin, Texas. After graduating from Austin High School, he was employed by the City of Austin. Harvey was a member of the Travis County Sheriff’s Posse. Harvey enjoyed being with the family and barbequing with his good friend Wesley Pogue. He was an avid fisherman. His last years with us were made happier with the help of his former neighbor and friend Josephine Jurecks, and Elder Care of Austin. Harvey is survived by many family members and friends that will miss him. Family will receive friends Thursday the 23rd of June 2011 from six o’clock to eight o’clock in the evening; at Cook-Walden Funeral Home 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin TX. Private funeral services will be held the 24th of June 2011. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to: The First Evangelical Free Church Cemetery Fund; or Elder Care of Austin; or The Meals on Wheels of Austin, in his honor.
