Harry Emil Ullmann was called by our heavenly Father on 22 September, 2016. Harry was born to Emil and Caralina Ullmann on May 11, 1928 in Floresville, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy from July of 1947 to June of 1950. He moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico in September of 1950 where he worked at the Duval Corporation as business manager. In October of 1967, he moved to Austin with his family to work for the Texas State Securities Board as business manager retiring in June of 1988.
Having enjoyed music from an early age, Harry enjoyed attending Austin Lyric Opera and Austin Symphony performances as well as Ballet and plays with his longtime friend, Peter Schram. He was active in supporting the Lyric Opera and sponsored many of their activities. He enjoyed gardening and for forty years maintained one of the most beautiful yards in Austin. He loved to travel and over the years went on more than sixty cruises all over the world. More than anything else, Harry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Caralina and by sister Elsie and brothers Otto, Alfred, Edgar, Merlin, and Edward. He is survived by sisters, Evelyn and Helen and brothers Richard; children Cheryl, Michelle and Harry Jr.; grandchildren Ellen, Reagan, Christopher, Daniel, Ashlyn, Mikaela; and great grandchildren Alexander and Allysa.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd in Austin, TX.
Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, TX; 1009 Trail St. with burial at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville.
