Harry Bon Ng passed away on May 20, 2008. He was born in Canton, China and came to the U.S. at a young age. He was educated in the Austin Public School system and attended Austin High School. As a local businessman, Harry managed Sam Wah Café, one of the first Chinese restaurants in Austin, and Lim Ting Restaurant for over 50 years. He was proud to spread his Chinese culture to Austin. Harry will be remembered as a kind and generous man, a good friend, and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Sun You. He is survived by his son, William, and his daughter-in-law, Yan; his five grandchildren, Lily and her husband John Lee, Beverly and her husband Brian Metzger, Wallace and his wife Kristi, Johndale, and Ann; and his eight great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 24 from 3:00 pm -5:00 pm at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, May 25 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
