
In my long quest to find my best childhood friend, Lari, I come across this information that her father had passed away. I am so sad for her & her family! I can remember being very young & her Dad always putting on a 'Moody Blues' vinyl on the record player every day and we would eat dinner & dance around the living room! Another time he drove us to the state capital to watch them remove the statue from the top of the dome for repairs. It was always a fun time when her dad was around!

Aunt Ellon, Tim and Family,  I just received the e-mail regarding Mike's passing and wanted to express my love and condolences to you.  I remember Mike when we were youngsters when our families visited.  The boys were always scuffling but it only took a look from Uncle Guy to get control of the situation.  I was reunited with Mike briefly a few years ago due to our mutual careers in the life insurance industry.  I took him to lunch on my expense account and we had a good time reliving the "old days."  Family, I love y'all and pray that God will put his arms around you and bless you really good during this time.



Mike, you leave all of us with many happy memories,as children when we played together and as adults with our respecive families. We love you and miss you. Rest in Peace my dear cousin. Beth



I had the pleasure of getting to know Mike in Austin while we were both with the Northwest Austin Chamber of Commerce. He was truly a special person and though I have moved away, I have not forgotten him. I know he will be missed by many besides his family that he loved.



I worked at SWL in the Marketing Department when I met Mike Burson, then the Austin Regional Manager.  He was always a very thoughtful, kind and respectful person; appreciative of the work the Home Office did for him and his agents.  The thing I most admired about Mike was the wisdom he showed, always listening more than he spoke...God Bless you all!



Deepest sympathy in the loss of one who was so special. Mike was always very supportive working with him in the Texas Association of Life Underwriters. He was concerned, compasionate, and dedicated to his profession.

Liz Weldon and Carl Weldon will not be able to attend the service, but wish all to know that we have the fondest memories of Michael. He was a tremendous friend to Bob Weldon and always kept in touch with us over the years. He showed great kindness to both of us. We wish the family our condolences.

we spent some good times together in the 80's.  i remember some quail hunting trips and his great fajita recipe. mike was president of the northwest chamber of commerce for many years and was well respected for his leadership.  he was a dear friend of mine.
