Grace was born in San Antonio on February 22, 1967, to the late Dora and Elmo Paniagua. She is survived by brothers Eddie Paniagua (Ann) and Anthony Paniagua; nieces and nephews Eddie Paniagua (Sara), Amanda Frausto (Nick), Kevin Paniagua, Lauren Paniagua, Cole Foster, Jason Foster, Sarah Foster and Joshua Foster; great-nieces Emilia Rose Frausto, Elena Aria Frausto, Aby Richardson and Gaby Richardson; in-law family members Harold and Billye Foster, David Foster and Bret Foster; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Grace graduated from John Marshall High School in San Antonio and from The University of Texas at Austin. She and Dan were married for 25 years. She actively raised awareness and funds benefiting Kealing Middle School and the Liberal Arts and Science Academy (LASA) where her sons attend. All who knew Grace will miss her and especially remember the captivating energy and signature smile that she so generously shared with friends and strangers alike.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 at the First United Methodist Church, 1201 Lavaca Street in Austin. Prior to the memorial service, a rosary will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the church chapel adjoining the main sanctuary. Reception will follow the memorial service at the church's Family Life Center.
