Gerard “Jerry” F. Shaw, II, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born in California, then immediately moved to Long Island, New York, where he was raised.
After graduating from high school, Jerry enlisted in the Air Force, and would later enlist in the Army, where he eventually retired. While in the service, he attended college and earned a degree, which later led to his second career as an IT Manager.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Gerard and Elvira Shaw, as well as his siblings Roger and Hope Shaw.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret, and his children, Leroy and Carla Ross, Barbara and Chad Walker, and Maggie Shaw, as well as his sister Ann Arndt. He is also survived by his grandsons, Landon Ross, Cody Ross, Trey Ross, Skylor Walker and Kaedyn Walker, as well as great-grandchildren, Madison, Cy, Cal, Hudson and Houston.
The family would like to thank the St. Francis Cancer Center doctors and staff, the St. Francis Home Health and Hospice staff, all in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a very special thank you to the loving staff at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the care and compassion they showed Jerry in his final days.
