
My grandpa was the strongest, bravest man I knew and his passing honestly still does not seems real. I could write every amazing memory I have of him but I would be here for hours. I remember when I was younger I would be so excited when Grandpa was coming I could hardly sleep, he was definitly the strongest glue that held our family up. I miss you more than anything in the world grandpa. I love you.

George was a terrific person. My Children loved him, and we will always remember him fondly.  My sons were in his troop 10, and my girls always tagged along to all the meetings and outtings.  I wish his family well and I do hope the pain of their loss eases.



Brenda , Clint and Jimmy  , My heart goes out to you and all your family. Your Dad was such an awesome caring gentle giant I have fond memories of him. He was my first Little league coach, my first Boys scout master. I only played sports because he was willing to let me tag along with you guy's. I remember him telling everyone I was his little Mexican step son. He pretty much treated me like a son and you guy's were like family to us. I hadn't seen your dad for many years until two years ago when your Grandma was placed in the same nursing home where my Dad was. We caught up on old stories and he told me about you guyâ€™s. I was so glad to have had my family meet your Dad. I've always told my kids stories about the old neighborhood  and the two men who influenced my life the  most My Dad and George Finch. I've been involved  in youth sports for 27  years now and I give all the credit to your Dad , for showing me that being a good role model to kids is mostly about being in their lives. Iâ€™m so Thankful to God for putting your Dad in my life. He was truly a Great man. Iâ€™m so sorry I missed the services, we were out of town for the holidays and I just found out from my Mom.  God Bless you all . 



George was an amazingly kind man.  We appreciate all the love and devotion he gave to TSD.  Last year about this time George and I both had Mom's at South Austin Hospital and it gave us a chance to catch up in the halls and waiting rooms.  I am saddened to learn of his passing.



I remembered ex- my teacher George Finch that it ... Sweet man are good and funny,talked with him all the time ... i miss him . so loved to him so much bye ... God bless him at TSD !!!!!  God care of him it...

I was an Assistant SM in Troop 10 while my two boys were in scouts.  Mr. Finch provided solid, Christian leadership in our lives at a very important time.  He had a great sense of humor, a great sense of purpose and was always very well prepared.

George made Boy Scouts important to me personally. In addition to being the boy's Scoutmaster, he was my Scoutmaster, my counselor and my friend.

I will miss him greatly.



George Finch was my Math teacher, he was so very funny and nice.  I know him for 5 years since I was a student in TSD.  God bless him and his families.  My symapthies is with his families.  George is in heaven with Lord. God Bless him.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I did not know George very well, but have lived next door to Patricia, and her Mother while Helen was alive and got to know him through them, and to know that he is a good Christian man, and to get to know his wife, Bonnie.  I can sympathize  with her and Patricia, because I have lost a husband and a brother and know from where I speak.  Itâ€™s hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of a well-lived life!

At TSD, He was my Math teacher and basketball coach 9 grade.  I never forget his wife  Elaine was my choir leader.   He was wonderful took care his 3 weeks old after his wife Elaine passed away..  I am so proud of him.  I know that He is so good and Of course that he is so tall man.  He is wonderful with boy scout and also he was good advice me when I was 9 grade.. I thank him with many thanks.  Sure I will miss him.  He was wonderful.   I will pray for his children and grandkids also great grandkids plus his current wife.   God bless you.



George was one of the first campers at Wolf Mountain.  We forged a friendship
although we never saw each other only once or twice a year.  He was a great 
man and will be sorely missed.D



Memories of Mr. Finch,  always include laughter and joy! He was always smiling and laughing and making others smile and laugh!  

His passion for life and his family are something that all of us would do well to model ourselves after!

Mr. Finch was my scoutmaster, Troop 42 from Texas School for the Deaf (TSD). I,  met Mr. Finch when I was seven years old, Boy He  was tall and  bigger than life.   At age of 11 I joined Boy Scout because of him. his smile, humors and faith in Christ...He was there when I need him. he gave me guidance to became an eagle scout .Yes,  at age of 17, I became an eagle scout. First eagle Scout under him and I was second Deaf eagle Scout from Texas School for the Deaf. Mr. Finch, I never get a chance to say thank you for maiking adifference in my life. You were God sent.   I am sorry I did not see or keep in touch with you, but I want you to know you're always part of my life. I love you Mr. Finch...TSD. Eagle Scout Francis Cooney

There are people who make an impact on others lives. 
George was such an individual. I remember the first time I met him at the Scout parade in the early 90's. Through the years our paths crossed in various events he always was helpful, friendly and kind. George was a good friend.
I've watched our (scouts) children grow and move on. I have watched George's family grow. He was very proud of his children and all his grand babies. George will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to all  of you.
