George David Bulpitt, 59, of Austin, Texas, beloved husband, dad, brother and great friend, and coworker passed away Thursday, September 21st among family and friends. George suffered a heart attack while sleeping, Sunday, September 17th. George never regained consciousness. He left in peace.
George was preceded in death by his mom, Carole Bulpitt and his favorite uncle, James ‘Big Guy’ White. George is survived by his wife, Laurie Thompson Bulpitt; daughter, Kelsey Peat Bulpitt, and step-daughter, Taylor Thompson; his father, George Daniel Bulpitt; brother Mark Bulpitt and family, Wanda and Maikah, brother Bruce Bulpitt and family, Lynn, Jake and Amanda.
George was born in Providence, RI, and relocated to Austin, Texas in the early 1980’s where he found his love of the construction industry. He met the Workman’s and worked with the Workman Corporation close to 35 years. His roots are in RI however his heart is definitely in Texas. Ironically, his signature project was the construction of St. John Neumann Catholic Church which will be the site of his final services.
Anybody who knows George understands his love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping especially his new RV, and was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed BBQ’ing and by all means, a few adult beverages. His BBQ had a trailer hitch….that should explain everything.
Most of all, George loved being a Dad!
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, September 24, 2017, with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:30 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 25, 2017, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
