Fred Marshall Buddy Weber, passed away on October 20, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 68. Buddy was born in Waco, Texas on July 28, 1935. At an early age he moved to Austin where he graduated from Travis High School and attended the Univ. of Texas and St. Edwards. He served on the Austin Police Dept. as an Investigating Officer, worked for the Texas Highway Dept., and was the Director of the Travis Association for the Blind until he retired in the late 90s. Buddy held a board position with Balcones Little League, was the President of Northwest Pony Colt League, and was a member of Knights of Columbus. He had many interests including hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy was watching his grandson and his friends play baseball and watching his granddaughter dance. Buddy was at his best when he was Paw Paw. Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Charles Otto Weber, his mother, Mildred Counts Weber, and his brother, Charles O. Weber, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Adams Weber, son, Fred M. Weber, Jr., his wife Ginger; their children, Marshall, and Mary Virginia, of Austin; his sister, Marzee Pfeiffer of LaPorte, Texas; and niece, Roxanne Schoen, husband Wayne, of Abilene, their children Pam and Bobby. Buddy never met a stranger and he will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be Robert Archer, John Glock, Glen McVey, Delbert McCullough, Jeff Glock, Bill Crawford, Lyndal Remmert, and John Hill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Al Wolbrueck, Ron Powell, Gerald Green, Tony Harrison, Cecil Spain, Richard Counts, Jay Davis, and Jimmy Garner. Visitation will be held between 6-8 pm, Wed., October 22, 2003 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar. The funeral mass will be held at St. Theresas Catholic Church, 4311 Small Dr. at 2:00pm, Thurs., October 23, 2003. Interment to follow at Austin Memorial Park.
