Worked for Fred, played tennis with Fred, enjoyed our time together and was fortunate to have great wives to keep us fully aligned and focused on what is most important to us.  Loved Fred for his ethics and life style.

He acted as the “father” at my parents’ wedding November 23, 1961. My mother, Lilo, is German and her parents were in Germany.  My father, Parviz, used to live with him while they went to school in San Jose. One night they went to a dance. My father’s cousin, Mansour Motamedi, was there with his girlfriend, Sally. Amir asked her for a dance. I’m told Sally was a beautiful girl. They danced the rest of the night.  
Sally, my parents send you their condolences.  My dad will miss him, a true gentleman.

When I worked for Aramco at the RT. Refinery mid 1980's - Fred
was one of our Dept. Managers.  His daughter Shaheen
was in my Dh. Class of 1972. 

As a college returning student  ( 1978 or 1979 ) I bumped
into Fred at Heathrow  London Airport.  I was going back
to college and he was on an Aramco business trip. As
we waited for our TWA flight to JFK we had a nice chat
and he bought me a cold beverage at the bar.  I did not see him
again as he was in First Class and I was back in Economy Class.
Fun times those were!  

My deepest condolences to all the Aslan Family.  Fred will
be missed.

Fred and Sally Aslan were married almost 67 years (this September 9th, 2023). Fred was a father, grandfather, uncle, son, brother, friend to many over his lifetime.  He was a chemical engineer.  He was very generous and had a lot of friends. He loved playing golf and tennis. He was kind and a true leader.  God Speed, Fred!
