He attended Palm Elementary School. He worked at Capital Laundry for many years and retired as a groundskeeper from Bergstrom Air Force Base in 1978. Frank married Carmen Ruiz in 1949 in San Antonio, TX. They were happily married and raised 6 children. Frank enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching westerns, and spending time with his family.
Frank is survived by his spouse, Carmen, 93, of Austin, TX; Connie Solis Choothesa (Pat) of San Diego, CA; Frank Solis, Jr.; Edward Solis; Richard Solis (Laura) of Memphis, TN; John Solis; his 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his daughter Olga Leticia Solis.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday July 6, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. Interment will be Private.
