Our beloved Frank Segura, age 86, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on August 11, 2009. Mr. Segura served his country with honor during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister and four brothers. Mr. Segura is survived by his devoted wife Alice; children, Mary Estrada and husband Marty, Frank Segura, Alfonso Segura, David Segura and wife Rosemary, Sherry Moreno and husband Paul, Gilbert Segura, Albert Segura and companion Martha, Edward Segura and wife Pat, Xavier Segura, Vincent Segura; and numerous grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, at Weed-Corley-Fish South, 2620 S. Congress Ave. Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 14, at San Jose Catholic Church. Military burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers are his sons, Gilbert and Xavier Segura; grandsons, Richard, Joseph, Jason and Matthew Segura, Martin Estrada, and Paul Moreno; and great-grandson, Marcus Segura.
